Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course is designed for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or related cardiac emergencies. Participation in this course will include didactic instruction and hands-on skills related to emergent cardiac treatment. Through simulated scenarios, students will enhance their skills by recognizing and intervening when a cardiac emergency presents itself. This includes cardiac arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest care, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).
The goal of this course is to improve patient outcomes for adult cardiovascular emergencies. Alongside the demonstration of skills, a post-test will be given and a student must receive a grade of at least 84% to pass the course and receive the two-year certification.
