BLS - Basic Life Support CPR

Description: This class is offered to those who require BLS certification as a healthcare professional or other personnel who needs to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and pre-hospital settings. Passing a written exam is required for completion.

This course covers:

• Up to date science and education from the American Heart Association .

• The components of high-quality CPR for adults, children and infants

• The AHA Chain of survival for prehospital and in-facility providers

• Use of an AED- Automated External Defibrillator

• Importance of teams in multi-rescuer CPR

• Use of barrier devices and effective ventilations

• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction for adults and infants.
